Renovation of the Napoleonic Cross at the Edge of the Forest.

The cross, located at the edge of the forest near the old inn, is a remarkable testimony to history. It commemorates the historic meeting of the commanders of the Austro-Hungarian armies during Napoleon's invasion. This memorial site, a symbol of the Napoleonic wars, is currently in a tragic state - the foundation has been destroyed, and the surrounding area urgently needs to be cleaned and secured.

Scope of renovation work:

1. Placing a new foundation:
   A stable and durable support that will ensure the monument's longevity.
2. Cleaning the surrounding area:
   Restoring the surroundings of the monument to a dignified appearance.
3. Fencing the monument with a chain:
   Securing the space around the cross and making it aesthetically pleasing.
4. Installation of an information board:
   Placing a historical description, introducing the importance of the site to visitors.

A detailed cost estimate for the project:

1. erecting a new foundation (2 m²):

• Materials:
  • Cement and concrete (bags of 25 kg) - PLN 300
  • Reinforcing steel (rebar) - PLN 200
  • Wooden formwork - PLN 100
• Labor:
  • Preparation of the excavation (2 m² × PLN 50) - PLN 100
  • Installation of formwork and reinforcement - 300 zł
  • Pouring of concrete and leveling - PLN 200
• Total for foundation: PLN 1,200

2. cleaning the area around the monument (20 m²):

• Labor costs:
  • Removal of weeds, bushes and moss (20 m² × 10 PLN) - 200 PLN
  • Removal and disposal of green waste - PLN 100
  • Cleaning and leveling of the area - PLN 100
• Total for clearing the area: PLN 400

3. fence the monument with a chain (10 running meters):

• Materials:
  • Decorative chain (10 m × PLN 75) - PLN 750
  • Steel posts (4 pieces × PLN 150) - PLN 600
  • Anti-corrosion paint for chain and posts - £100
• Labor:
  • Preparation of holes for posts (4 holes × PLN 50) - PLN 200
  • Installation of posts and chain - PLN 550
• Total for fencing: PLN 2,100

4. installation of an information board:

• Materials:
  • Information board made of aluminum (60 x 40 cm) - PLN 700
  • Board frame (steel or aluminum) - PLN 300
• Labor:
  • Assembly of the frame - PLN 100
  • Board installation and position correction - PLN 100
• Total for the board: PLN 1,200
